At The Upholstress, I love making furniture to make you smile. I design my own furniture using fabrics that I love, but I can also use your fabrics too if there is something you want.

So who is behind The Upholstress?

My name is Alex and I am the The Upholstress.

I have always had an interest in upholstery, sewing, upcycling and crafting; and at the start of 2026 I found myself facing redundancy. Initially worried, I decided to turn this into an opportunity to build a career I love, which could fit around my busy life with 2 small children.
